Service terms for EdTution tutoring

These Terms govern your use of EdTution services, including demo classes, paid sessions, and platform features. By using EdTution, you agree to these terms.

1. Service Scope

EdTution provides live one-on-one online tutoring, mentor matching, progress tracking, and related academic support. Curriculum plans and teaching approaches may vary based on student profile, board, grade, and goals.

2. Demo Class Terms

  • One free demo class is generally offered per student profile.
  • Demo duration and mentor assignment are determined by availability.
  • Rescheduling may be permitted with reasonable prior notice.
  • EdTution may deny repeated demo misuse or fraudulent requests.

3. Payment and Subscription Terms

Class fees, package pricing, and applicable taxes are displayed before payment confirmation. Payments are processed by authorized gateways. Access to paid sessions may depend on successful payment status.

4. Refund Policy (7-Day Window)

  • Refund requests can be raised within 7 calendar days from initial paid enrolment.
  • If classes are significantly consumed within this period, refund may be partial.
  • Gateway charges, taxes, or third-party fees may be deducted where applicable.
  • Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method as per banking timelines.

5. Student and Parent Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate registration details and maintain account confidentiality.
  • Ensure suitable internet/device setup for live classes.
  • Maintain respectful behavior toward tutors and support staff.
  • Do not record, reproduce, or redistribute proprietary class content without written consent.

6. Tutor Liability and Learning Outcomes

Tutors and EdTution make best efforts to deliver quality instruction. However, specific marks, ranks, admissions, or outcomes cannot be guaranteed and depend on multiple factors including student attendance, effort, and external assessment standards.

7. Class Rescheduling and Cancellation

Rescheduling/cancellation requests should be made in advance per plan rules. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may be counted as consumed sessions based on package policy.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes, if any, are subject to courts/tribunals with jurisdiction in Bengaluru, Karnataka, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
