How EdTution protects your family's data
This Privacy Policy explains how EdTution Innovations Pvt. Ltd. collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data. It is designed for Indian users and aligned with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

This policy applies to all students, parents/guardians, and visitors who use EdTution services in India. For processing carried out in India or targeting individuals in India, EdTution follows applicable requirements under the DPDP Act, 2023 and related rules.
2. Data We Collect
- Identity data: student/parent name, contact number, email.
- Academic data: grade, board, subject interest, performance signals.
- Technical data: device/browser details, session logs, usage analytics.
- Communication data: support chats, WhatsApp or email queries.
- Payment metadata: transaction reference, amount, status, timestamp.
3. Children's Data Protection
EdTution primarily serves minors. Where required by law, we rely on verifiable parent/guardian consent for processing a child's personal data. We apply enhanced safeguards, limit profiling, and process only what is necessary for learning delivery, support, and safety.
4. Purpose of Processing
- Schedule demo classes and manage ongoing tutoring services.
- Match students with appropriate mentors and learning pathways.
- Generate progress insights and parent updates.
- Provide customer support and service communication.
- Meet legal, audit, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations.
5. Payment Data Handling
Payments are processed through authorized payment partners (such as UPI/card gateways). EdTution does not store full card numbers, CVV, or UPI PIN. We retain limited transaction records needed for reconciliation, refunds, tax, and customer support.
6. Data Sharing and Retention
We share data only with trusted service providers (hosting, payment, communication, analytics) under contractual confidentiality and security obligations. Data is retained only for as long as needed for service delivery, legal compliance, and dispute handling.
7. Your Rights under DPDP
- Right to access and request correction/update of your data.
- Right to withdraw consent (subject to lawful processing needs).
- Right to grievance redressal and escalation as per law.
- Right to request erasure where retention is no longer required.
